BLACK NEON is born out of the desire to create;

• swimwear that I cannot find in existence, with strong colours, prints in interesting yet wearable styles
• a brand that has room to grow and develop over time
• a lifestyle for myself and others embracing the sun, travel and the beach or pool

BLACK NEON's style is shaped by several influences;

• 40's / 50's vintage glamour
• 80's / 90's swimwear, supermodels and music
• textiles and prints from Britain and overseas travels

The Journey to Now....

After graduating from Kingston University in 2001, I have gained a great overview of the fashion industry informed by working across disciplines including;

• retail and marketing for the UK distributor of the renowned Australian beach and swimwear brand 'Insight'
• a year long work experience stint at one of London's top PR companies 'Surgery PR'
• a 6 month trip to Mauritius working hands on in a swimwear factory delivering designs and samples for many clients

BLACK NEON exists today because of the ability to design, pattern cut, sample garments myself, with sheer determination, passion, and not to mention a great support from family and friends. Thank you!!
